👉 GoRetro and EasyRetro both allow you to create private and public boards. However, EasyRetro has a limited number of retrospective boards that you can create for your team depending on your subscription. EasyRetro's free version allows you to create up to three new public boards per month, but you can only have a total of three public boards on your Dashboard.
Both GoRetro and EasyRetro allow you to assign roles to different team members. The account admin can view and manage all boards and create and manage teams, while the team admin can view and manage teams and boards that he or she is a part of, and team members can only view and create boards in the team they are in.
Both platforms offer a wide variety of retrospective templates for creating a board. Additionally, they both allow teams to create a custom board from scratch. EasyRetro and GoRetro both have an intuitive and easy-to-navigate dashboard where you can view all of your boards. Both platforms also have cards that can be created for people to vote on. EasyRetro also allows users to take surveys on the boards, but you are only allowed one per month in the free version.
People often export their boards to keep as a backup or when going to a meeting in person. GoRetro and EasyRetro’s boards can be exported to PDF, Excel or Clipboard. Something unique to EasyRetro is that you can integrate it to Slack, since a lot of dev teams use the platform to work together.
GoRetro provides a space for you to plan every aspect of your sprint, from beginning to end. Capacity Planning for each team member is now clearer and easier than ever with the GoRetro Capacity Planning Dashboard. GoRetro also supports different estimation techniques and various score summarization methods from syncing your backlog management tool with GoRetro. This, combined with GoRetro's deep Jira integration that allows teams to see their velocity, carryover, buffers, and planned-versus-actual trends makes GoRetro's Sprint Planning tools everything your team needs.
